Oil analysis for every commercial vehicle

AcculubeHD Has an Oil Analysis Service
for Every Commercial Vehicle

Acculube Has an Oil Analysis Service for Every Commercial Vehicle

Our Goal:  to scientifically assess oil condition, equipment condition and system status, so you can:

  • Maximize oil service life – and extend drain intervals
  • Identify problems before they result in downtime
  • Reduce energy use
  • Improve equipment performance – and identify the root causes of equipment that is not functioning efficiently
  • Prevent equipment damage
  • Reduce warranty claims
  • Get the greatest overall value for your lubricant dollar

The AcculubeHD Oil Analysis:

  • Determines the condition (% of degradation) of the oil, and indicates whether it’s suitable for continued use
  • Determines if any abnormal conditions exist in the equipment
  • Evaluates data so that unit overhauls can be lengthened or shortened based on science,
rather than guesswork – (or calendars)
  • Is performed throughout our service area and does not interrupt production in any way.

Signum Oil Analysis Options

Engine Analysis

Engine Analysis (1) provides essential engine and lubricant specific testing designed to help you detect engine
problems and lubricant contamination before they result in excessive wear or failure. Engine Oil Analysis is applicable
for engines in virtually all types of on and off-highway equipment.

Engine Oil Analysis - Extended Service

Engine Analysis - Extended Service (1) offers additional testing to support an ODI (Optimized Drain Interval) program,
as well as advanced testing to help you more closely monitor the health of your engine. In addition to Engine Oil
Analysis testing, Extended Service includes: Total Base Number (TBN), PQ Index (particle qualifier), and coolant
indicator analysis. There is also Extended Service testing for engines that operate on heavy or residual fuels.

Engine Oil Analysis - Heavy Fuel Extended Service

In addition to Engine Oil Analysis, Detecting Asphaltanes Contamination (DAC) directly measures the contamination
effects of residual fuel in the lubricant. Heavy Fuel Extended Service is applicable for medium speed diesel engines
operating on Residual Fuel.

The Signum Oil Analysis Process

When your sample is processed, the laboratory handles each bottle as a unique and
important item. Each sample is coded, labeled, and tracked through the entire process.
By the time test results are available, your equipment sample has directly benefited from
knowledge of Exxon Mobil lubricants, decades of OEM relationships, and a strong heritage
of hands-on application expertise. Sample comments are provided, as required, to help
identify potential problems, list possible causes and recommend actions for follow-up.

(1) Tests will be performed depending on the condition of the engine and
test protocols may change without notice.

Online Reporting

Signum Oil Analysis reports are available via Internet, email, or fax. The color-coded report is typically available
within 1-2 business days of sample receipt at the laboratory. You can login to your account and confirm receipt at
the Signum Laboratory by tracking the sample status online. The sample report provides valuable insights to
determine equipment, contamination, and lubrication conditions.

Sample Point Data

This information, which is provided during online registration, is used to interpret the oil analysis results.
By including equipment manufacturer, model, and other operating parameters, an overall assessment
can be made for your application.

Results Interpretation

Proprietary control limits are applied based on your equipment manufacturer, model, lubricant, and application.
Sample comments are provided, as required, to help identify potential problems, list possible causes,
and recommend actions for follow-up.

Analysis Results

The Signum Oil Analysis report provides an easy-to-read, color-coded display of your
sample analysis results in order to:

  • Trend elements of equipment wear
  • Identify contaminants that may impact performance
  • Monitor lubricant condition

Sample Label Data

A completed sample label provides critical information for processing and interpreting your equipment’s condition.
By including key information, like hr/mi/km and data sampled, you help establish data points that assist in
condition trending.

How Often Should Oil Analysis be Done for Best Results?

Follow OEM recommendations on sampling intervals for your equipment.
If there are no guidelines, these 3 tables will help to establish sample frequency.

How Often Should Oil Analysis be Done for Best Results?

Oil Analysis applies to all lubricants, conventional, semi-synthetic and synthetic, used in commercial
vehicles and equipment.

Performed by qualified lubricant technicians, the AcculubeHD Oil Analysis, and the Signum Oil Analysis offered by
Acculube, are exceptional tools for managing high-value assets, and putting science on your side.

Oil analysis helps keep mission-critical equipment in service, and at peak operating efficiency,
while avoiding under- and over-servicing.  It can dramatically reduce the risk of component and system failures,
equipment burnouts, and unscheduled maintenance events.  It lets you carry less inventory for “back-up”
replacement parts, and it can help you get higher trade-in values when you change equipment.

If you have never had an independent oil analysis, the results – and opportunities it will show for saving dollars
and downtime will surprise you.

Getting the greatest productivity possible from every moving asset is a must.
Expert oil analysis lets you do just that.  Email us for more info.
